Experiments with Luca

I used this mini shoot with Luca to play around with a few subtle changes to my editing style.  What you can see below are a few are the results.  I wanted to see how far I could push the haze effect in a number of them.  I'm really keen on a dollop of haze but as with most things, I've always got to take care not to overuse it.  I'm able to insert haze in a picture both by shooting into the sun and artificially in Photoshop.

I always aim to do as much as I can 'in camera' but I use Photoshop to give my images that extra punch.  This is usually in terms of colour cast and contrast but I also try to give eyes some attention to make them stand out as much as possible without making them look unnatural.  Photoshop is also a life-saver when it comes to removing the assorted gunk our beautiful children collect on their faces.
